Dance Awards & Examinations
We offer dance awards and examinations through i-PATH Association, an amazing examination body that we are proud to work with.
Our exams provide dancers with achievable goals and the opportunity to celebrate their hard work and progress. We want our dancers to feel proud of what they achieve, while ensuring that exams remain a positive and enjoyable experience.
๐ญ Theatre Productions
Our dancers have the opportunity to take part in exciting, large-scale theatre productions. In 2027, we are delighted to be taking to the stage at the Palace Theatre for our spectacular summer show!
These productions give our dancers the chance to experience the excitement of performing in a professional theatre environment, working as part of a team and creating memories that they will treasure.
โจ Yearly Recitals
Each year, we hold a yearly recital, giving our dancers the opportunity to showcase their progress to family and friends.
Recitals are a wonderful way for dancers to see how far they have come, gain confidence on stage and celebrate everything they have achieved throughout the year.
๐ A Balanced Dance Journey
We carefully plan our performance and examination opportunities so that our dancers are not overwhelmed.
Our larger shows and examinations alternate between years, allowing dancers to fully enjoy and focus on each experience. We believe this gives them the time and space to prepare properly, enjoy the process and celebrate their achievements without feeling pressured.
๐ Community Performances
Dance isnโt just about what happens inside the studio! Throughout the year, our dancers have opportunities to perform within the local community, allowing them to share their love of dance with different audiences and gain valuable performance experience.
We also enjoy opportunities to perform with organisations including CYD and Chance 2 Dance, giving our dancers the chance to experience different performance environments and meet other young performers.
๐ซ Celebrating Every Dancer
We believe recognition isnโt just about exams and trophies. We love celebrating the little moments of achievement that happen in class every week.
Our dancers can receive:
* Dancer of the Class โ celebrating dancers who have shown something special in their class.
* WOW Cards โ recognising fantastic effort, attitude, improvement and achievement.
* Dancer of the Week โ celebrating a dancer each week who has really stood out for their hard work, positivity or progress.
These little moments of recognition can mean so much to a dancer and help remind them that their effort is noticed and valued.
๐ The Marguerite Award
Each year, one special dancer is selected to receive The Marguerite Award.
This is a very special annual recognition, celebrating a dancer who embodies the qualities we value within our school โ dedication, kindness, commitment, enthusiasm and a wonderful attitude towards dance.
We are incredibly proud of every dancer who becomes part of our school community, and we love finding different ways to celebrate their individual journeys.
๐ More Than Just Dance
Whether a dancer dreams of performing on a theatre stage, working towards an exam, building confidence, performing within the community or simply enjoying dancing with their friends, we aim to provide opportunities for every dancer to shine.
Our goal is to create a supportive environment where dancers can learn, perform, achieve, grow and make memories โ all while keeping their love of dance at the heart of everything we do.
๐ Your Dance Journey, Your Choice
We believe that every dancer is different, which is why all of our awards, examinations and performance opportunities are completely optional.
There is no one-size-fits-all journey at our dance school. Some dancers may love the excitement of exams and theatre productions, while others may prefer community performances, recitals or simply enjoying their weekly classes.
Our aim is to provide as many opportunities as possible, while allowing each dancer and their family to choose the experiences that are right for them.
Whether your dancer wants to work towards awards and exams, perform on a theatre stage, take part in community events, build confidence through recitals, or simply dance for fun โ they can create their own dance journey at their own pace.
We want every dancer to feel happy, supported, challenged and proud, without ever feeling pressured to take part in something that isnโt right for them.
